Celebrating and supporting local mobile food vendors, Dinner by the River takes place alongside the Taruheru River on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Marina Park in Gisborne.
It started in February '25 from a love of food and a desire for all of Gizzy's food carts to be in one spot at once so they're easy to find - and that's exactly what we made happen.
From two trial dates sprung a permanent event thanks to vendor participation and an abundance of public support - we can't be more proud and would love to see you down there!

The Gizzy Monthly Market is Gisborne's largest open air artisan market - proudly boasting handmade creations only - among it's stalls.
Located on Marina Park Reserve, the first Saturday of every month brings crafty creators from the city and the wider region, with products ranging from jewellery and skincare, to metalwork and beeswax candles - plus everything inbetween! Shop local, support small business, and let's go back to the days of investing in handmade products that last generations.
